At an airport located in Gilgit, Pakistan, on 25th August 1989, a plane of Fokker F-27 model landed on the runway and unloaded its passengers. After completing refuelling operations, it took off again with 54 people on board, including five crew members and 49 passengers destined for the capital city of Islamabad. The flight number of the aforementioned Pakistan Airlines flight, which went missing, was 404. The disappearance of this airplane turned the code “404 not found” into a significant part of the global internet lexicon.
